The Practical Nursing Program’s mission is to prepare PNs who are competent to function as members of healthcare teams in acute care settings, long term care facilities, and community clinics.

Become a highly-trained healthcare professional! Learn from personable, professional instructors with real-life medial experience who will share their secrets to success in this growing career field. The Technical Certificate in Practical Nursing prepares students for a variety of positions in the health care industry. In less than two-years you'll learn how to:

  • Record patient medical histories
  • Administer intravenous medications
  • Monitor patient conditions during treatments, procedures, or activities
  • Administer basic health care or medical treatments
  • Apply bandages, dressings, or splints
  • Measure the physical or physiological attributes of patients
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to plan or provide treatment
  • Supervise patient care personnel
  • Analyze quantitative data to determine effectiveness of treatments or therapies
  • Sterilize medical equipment or instruments
