The Community Education Office at EACC is a non-credit, lifelong learning program. Its mission is to improve the quality of life and stimulate the economy by providing cultural and educational opportunities for the community.
EACC is monitoring the COVID-19 situation closely as we prepare and plan for summer camps. EACC wants to take all precautions to make sure that your child is safe and healthy. We are still moving forward with planning for Kids On Campus July Summer Camps to take place. It is crystal clear to us that all of our kids need summer camps more now than ever. Social distancing is hard on all of us, especially our children. EACC Kids on Campus Summer Camps is a special place providing our children with opportunities to grow socially, physically, and educationally. Please continue to watch our social media platforms for the most current information on camps. We miss your children and looking forward to having them back on campus!
Daily health screenings and temperature checks will be performed at a screening location outside of the classroom building prior to children being allowed in the classroom.
If campers and staff have any of the following characteristics, they will NOT be allowed to enter:
Have had a fever of 100.4 or greater in the last 2 days
Have a cough, difficulty breathing, sore throat, or loss of taste or smell
Had contact with a person known to be infected with COVID-19 in the previous 14 days.
*CHILDREN WILL NOT BE ALLOWED IN CAMP/CLASS IF THEY ARE SICK OR HAVE ANY OF THE ABOVE CHARACTERISTICS.*
Following the screening process, the Director of Community Education, Logan Brasfield, will be outside the building to escort your child to camp and will have them ready for outside pick up at the end of the camp.
Limited access to inside the building is encouraged
Face coverings are required for children 10 years of age and older. Although not required, face coverings are highly encouraged for children under the age of 10. Face coverings will not be required while exercising.
Camps will start at staggered times allowing each camper to be in the classroom or class space before another camp begins.
Camp class sizes will be limited to 10.
Camps will maintain the minimum social distance of 6 feet as much as possible.
Seating areas will be spaced out and marked
Campers will be with the same children and teacher at all times.
EACC will limit mixing between groups
Classroom areas will be cleaned and disinfected between uses. After each class meets, the room will be cleaned.
Table paper will be changed out each day
If your child is sick, we ask that they stay at home. If a child becomes sick while in camp, we will contact the parent/guardian immediately and separate child from other children at the camp.
