EACC's certified nursing assistant program is designed to help students enter the workforce within two-months of beginning their training. The CNA program is a short-term training program that gives students the foundation necessary to secure employment within the healthcare industry. 

 Career Opportunities    Annual Salary

As a CNA within the healthcare industry, students can expect to complete the following job duties:

  • Provide basic patient care under direction of nursing staff.
  • Perform duties such as feed, bathe, dress, groom, or move patients, or change linens.
  • Answer patient call signals, signal lights, bells, or intercom systems to determine patients' needs.
  • Provide physical support to assist patients to perform daily living activities such as getting out of bed, bathing, dressing, using the toilet, standing, walking, or exercising.
  • Review patients' dietary restrictions, food allergies, and preferences to ensure the receive the appropriate diet.
  • Measure and record food and liquid intake or urinary and fecal output, reporting changes to medical or nursing staff.

Certified Nursing Assistant Objective 1 Students will be able to understand the scope and practice of the Nursing Assistant.
Certified Nursing Assistant Objective 2 Students will be able to demonstrate basic nursing skills.
Certified Nursing Assistant Objective 3 Students will be able to demonstrate comprehension and understanding of medical terminology.
Certified Nursing Assistant Objective 4 Students will be qualified to sit for the certified nursing assistant state examination.
