Career / Transfer Services

Whether you are planning to enter the workforce upon completion of your two-year degree or wish to pursue a four-year degree, the Office of Career and Transfer Services can assist you!

Career Planning and Placement Assistance:

The Office of Career and Transfer Services can provide counseling and advising information on selecting a major, career exploration, current job postings, and other supportive services at no charge to students. Various workshops are available throughout each semester and have recently included topics such as how to perform an online job search, résumé writing, interview skills, and how to dress for success.

In addition to the one-on-one opportunities and the small group workshop formats, assistance with career exploration can also be delivered online. Check out these resources:

  • Learning Express - Visit EACC's Learning Express Career Center to learn more about a career, prepare for a career exam, explore occupations, or further develop your workplace skills. And, the Learning Express Job and Career Accelerator can assist you with job searches, résumé building, and career interest inventories.
  • O*NET - The O*NET program is the nation's primary source of occupational information. O*NET OnLine is a comprehensive web application for exploring the O*NET database. Customizable occupation reports offer a range of information from a broad overview to comprehensive detail on a specific subject; you can even explore across occupations using Content Model descriptors like abilities and interests. Using the O*NET Career Exploration Tools, students may explore a range of career directions based upon their interests, work values, and abilities.

Transfer Assistance:

If you are interested in pursuing a Bachelor's degree, Transfer Services at EACC is a great place to start. Assistance with planning a smooth transition to a four-year institution can be provided in several ways, including one-on-one counseling and advising, participation in Transfer Workshops, and engaging in college visits. Also, numerous campus activities take place throughout each academic year, such as the EACC/ArkACRAO Transfer Fair and Spring Fest College and Career Day. Come visit with us and we can provide many resources to get the transfer conversation going!
