Most often thought of as a Motown recording act, the classic group sound of legendary R&B recording group The Spinners has never lost its universal appeal. Through the years, they sold millions of records and topped both the Pop and R&B charts with smash hits like “I’ll Be Around” and “Then Came You.” After a brief time at Motown, The Spinners signed to Atlantic Records where they charted five top 100 singles, and went on to become one of the biggest soul groups of the 1970's with hit singles that include “Mighty Love,” “One Of A Kind (Love Affair),” “Games People Play,” and “Could It Be.” By early 1980, the single, “Working My Way Back to You,” topped the charts giving the group its 12th gold record. They went on to release many more hits including “The Cupid Medley,” “Yesterday Once More,” and “Long Live Soul Music.”  With six GRAMMY nominations, The Spinners were inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame, awarded the Rhythm and Blues Foundation Award, received a star on the Hollywood “Walk of Fame,” and appeared in numerous television specials paying tribute to the music of the 70’s. Today, this legendary group continues to tour and perform for fans of all ages in sold out venues around the world.
