On Monday, June 12th, East Arkansas Community College will host the Seventh Annual EACC Golf Tournament at the beautiful 18-hole course at the Forrest City Country Club to benefit the EACC Foundation.
The Co-Sponsors for this year’s tournament are Boar’s Head, Core-Mark, and Forrest City Medical Center. Hole sponsorships are currently available.
“We are grateful to our sponsors and players who make this annual tournament possible,” said Dr. Coy Grace, EACC President. “In the past, we have had support from many regional and local business, and players who come out for a great day of golf, and we are very appreciative for their support. This year, we hope golfers and those that enjoy golf will join us again for this great event,” said Grace.
The tournament will follow a 4-person scramble format. Entrants in the tournament may form their own teams or enter individually. Single entries will be assigned to a team and teams will be flighted after the round. The number of flights will be determined by the number of entries. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three teams in each flight.
A lunch buffet with all the trimmings will be provided and check-in for players will begin at 11:30 a.m. The shotgun start begins at 1:00 p.m. The entry fee for players will be $100 for each player or $400 for each team of four payable to the EACC Foundation. All entries should be mailed to the EACC Foundation C/O Niki Jones at 1700 Newcastle Road, Forrest City, AR 72335 or they may be dropped off at the EACC Fine Arts Center. To ensure a tee time, register by Wednesday, June 7th. Player Registration Forms are available ONLINE and at area golf courses.
Greenway Equipment is sponsoring Hole-in-One Contests on three par three’s. Players may have a chance to win a John Deere Special Edition Gator crossover utility vehicle, a set of Callaway X Series 416 irons, or a $500 Visa gift card. ‘Closest to the Pin’ contests on three holes will be sponsored by SFC Farm Bureau. There will be a Putting Contest with a potential $5000 cash prize, additional competitions on various holes, and other miscellaneous prizes.
“This tournament has been a wonderful opportunity for area golfers to come out and enjoy an exciting round of golf for a great cause,” said Grace. “We look forward to continuing to make the annual tournament a great success.”
