Emmy Award winner Vicki Lawrence is best known for her work on the long-running Carol Burnett Show.  She received a gold record as a recording artist for her hit single, “The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia” and later went on to star in her own TV series, Mama’s Family.  Lawrence’s many stage credits include productions of Carousel, Send Me No Flowers, No, No, Nanette, My Fat Friend, Chapter Two, Twigs, Hello Dolly, Special Occasions, I’m Getting My Act Together and Taking It on the Road, and Annie Get Your Gun

Vicki Lawrence and Mama: A Two-Woman Show touring production will feature a mixture of stand-up comedy, music, and Lawrence’s observations about real life.  “My show is not a retrospective,” Lawrence explains.  “I think people will get a kick out of the things Mama has an opinion about.  We’re creating new material with a more modern and cutting edge,” she added.  “I hope people will be pleasantly surprised by a side of Vicki they may never have seen... I know they will be looking forward to Mama, and for her part, that crazy old gal will be up to the challenge,” said Lawrence.

Tickets for Vicki Lawrence & Mama: A Two Woman Show are $39 and may be purchased online, by calling 870-633-4480, ext. 352, or in person at the Fine Arts Center Ticket Office.  Group discounts and Spotlight Series season subscription packages are available and save 20%.  The EACC Fine Arts Center is located at 1700 Newcastle Road in Forrest City, just off Interstate 40.
