EACC Offers Fall Tour to Crystal Bridges

EACC's Department of Continuing Education will offer a tour to Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art in Bentonville on Friday, October 21st.

Travelers will celebrate the American spirit in a setting that unites the power of art with the beauty of nature at the spectacular Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art.  Founded in 2005 by the Walton Family Foundation, Crystal Bridges features a permanent collection that spans five centuries of American masterworks.  Included in the collection are iconic images such as Asher B. Durand’s Kindred Spirits, Norman Rockwell’s Rosie the Riveter, and Andy Warhol’s Cocoa-Cola, each reflecting a distinct moment in American artistic evolution.  Also featured are major works by modern and contemporary American artists, including Georgia O’Keeffe, John Baldessari, and James Turrell.  Tour participants spend the day exploring the permanent collection at Crystal Bridges, which continues to grow, as well as an array of temporary exhibitions.

The day tour will feature a guided tour of the museum, lunch, and transportation.  Pre-registration is required, and the deadline for registration is Friday, September 30th.  For more information or to register, call 870-633-4480, ext. 333 or 261.
