EACC's annual Golf Tournament to benefit Foundation

On Monday, June 10th, East Arkansas Community College will host the thirteenth annual EACC Golf Tournament at the Forrest City Country Club's 18-hole course to benefit the EACC Foundation.

This year's co-sponsors for the tournament are Arkansas Concrete Co., Boar's Head, and Forrest City Medical Center.  Hole sponsorships are still available.

"We are grateful to the many players and sponsors who make our annual tournament possible," said Dr. Cathie Cline, EACC President.  "We have received support from many local and regional businesses and players in the past. We hope golfers and anyone who enjoys golf will join us again this year for the annual event," said Dr. Cline.

The tournament will follow a 4-person scramble format. Entrants in the tournament may form their own teams or enter individually. Single entries will be assigned to a team and teams will be flighted after the round. The number of flights will be determined by the number of entries.  Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three teams in each flight.

A lunch buffet will be provided and check-in for players will begin at 11:30 a.m. The shotgun start begins at 1:00 p.m. The entry fee for players will be $125 for each player or $500 for each team of four payable to the EACC Foundation. All entries may be dropped off at the EACC Fine Arts Center or mailed to EACC Foundation, 1700 Newcastle Road, Forrest City, AR 72335.  To ensure a tee time, register by Wednesday, June 5th.  Registration forms are available online at or by calling 870-633-4480, ext. 352.

Closest to the Pin' contests on three holes will be sponsored by SFC Farm Bureau. There will be a Putting Contest with a potential $5000 cash prize, Hole-in-One contests, additional competitions on various holes, and other miscellaneous prizes.

"This annual tournament has been a great success, and we look forward to welcoming back area golfers for an enjoyable afternoon and exciting round of golf for a good cause" said Dr. Cline.

"The EACC Foundation continues to support the college and students through various ways including a Food Pantry for students, scholarships, and more," said Dr. Cline.  "The sponsorships and players' support can be extremely impactful and make a difference in the lives of many EACC students as they work to achieve their goals."
