EACC Golf Tournament will Benefit EACC Foundation

On Monday, June 14th, EACC will host the Tenth Annual EACC Golf Tournament at the beautiful 18-hole course at the Forrest City Country Club to benefit the EACC Foundation.

This year's major sponsor for the tournament is Johnson Controls.  Co-Sponsors for this year's tournament are Arkansas Concrete Co., Boar's Head, and Forrest City Medical Center.  Hole sponsorships are still available.

"We are grateful to the many sponsors and players who make our annual tournament possible," said Dr. Cathie Cline, EACC President.  "In the past, we have received support from many local and regional businesses and players who come out for a great day of golf.  We hope golfers and anyone who enjoys golf will join us again this year for the annual event," said Cline.

The tournament will follow a 4-person scramble format. Entrants in the tournament may form their own teams or enter individually. Single entries will be assigned to a team and teams will be flighted after the round. The number of flights will be determined by the number of entries.  Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three teams in each flight.

A lunch buffet with all the trimmings will be provided and check-in for players will begin at 11:30 a.m. The shotgun start begins at 1:00 p.m. The entry fee for players will be $125 for each player or $500 for each team of four payable to the EACC Foundation. All entries should be mailed to the EACC Foundation C/O Niki Jones at 1700 Newcastle Road, Forrest City, AR 72335 or they may be dropped off at the EACC Fine Arts Center. To ensure a tee time, register by Wednesday, June 5th.  Forms are available on the EACC website at EACC.edu.

Red River Ford Toyota is sponsoring Hole-in-One Contests on three par three's.  You may have a chance to win a 2021 Ford F150, a choice of Swing Caddie SC200 Portable Launch Monitor or L4 Laser Rangefinder with Slope, or a vacation for four at Lajitas Golf Resort and Spa.  'Closest to the Pin' contests on three holes will be sponsored by SFC Farm Bureau. There will be a Putting Contest with a potential $5000 cash prize, additional competitions on various holes, and other miscellaneous prizes.

"Last year's tournament was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but we look forward to welcoming back area golfers for an enjoyable afternoon and exciting round of golf for a good cause" said Dr. Cline.

"During this historic time, the EACC Foundation has continued to support the college and students through various ways including a newly established Food Pantry, scholarships, and more," said Cline.  "The sponsorships and players' support can be extremely impactful and make a difference in the lives of many EACC students as they continue their academic journey and work to achieve their goals through difficult circumstances."

"We look forward to continuing to make this year's tournament a great success," she added.
