Foundation's General Education Scholarship Awarded

Patrice Crawford of Wynne has been awarded the East Arkansas Community College Foundation General Education Scholarship.

The General Education Scholarship is presented annually to a full-time student in the Associate of Arts or Associate of Applied Science degree programs who plans to transfer to a 4-year institution after graduation from EACC. The student must possess a GPA of 3.0 on all coursework (minimum of 30 college credit hours).

Crawford is currently enrolled in EACC's Associate of Science in Education- Middle Level degree program and plans to continue her education at Arkansas State University to obtain a bachelor's degree.  She plans to become a junior high school math teacher.  "I am so grateful for the generous scholarship," said Crawford.  "I believe that education is my purpose and this scholarship will help me fulfill my purpose of becoming a future educator," she added.
