Three Dog Night dominated the charts in the early 1970s delivering 21 consecutive Billboard Top 40 hits, including three #1 singles from 12 straight RIAA Certified Gold albums.  Their hits appeared on best-selling charts in many genres of music including pop, rock, and country.  With four decades of memorable hit songs, Three Dog Night holds some of the most astonishing statistics in popular music.  During the years 1969 through 1974, no other group achieved more top 10 hits, moved more records, or sold more concert tickets.  Three Dog Night’s hits continue to wind through pop culture today, whether on the radio, in television commercials, or in major motion pictures.

Led by the band’s founder, Danny Hutton, Three Dog Night performs over 75 shows a year, recreating their larger than life hit songs, including “Joy to the World,” “Shambala,” “Mama Told Me (Not to Come),” “One,” “and others.  The band, including Danny Hutton (lead vocalist), Michael Allsup (guitar), Paul Kingery (bass/vocals), Pat Bautz (drums), Eddie Reasoner (keyboard), and David Morgan (vocalist), performs their hit-filled concerts for generation spanning audiences.  As they mark more than forty years on the road, Three Dog Night continues to grow its fan base while keeping a full schedule of concerts and performances.  Since 1986, the band has performed over 2,200 shows including two Super Bowls.

Boasting chart and sales records that are virtually unmatched in popular music, their records continue to sell around the world, reaching beyond the United States into Japan, Canada, Holland, England, Germany, Spain and elsewhere.  The band has sold tens of millions of records through the years and has recorded music of the best new songwriters of their time including Harry Nilsson, Randy Newman, Elton John, Laura Nyro, Paul Williams, Hoyt Axton and many others.  Their eclectic taste, combined with their ability to recognize and record hits in a unique, distinctive and appealing style resulted in the band dominating the best-selling charts for years.  Their famous name refers to native Australian hunters in the outback who huddled their dogs for warmth on cold nights, the coldest being a “three dog night.”
