EACC believes that access to the arts is essential for all children and works to provide every child in Eastern Arkansas with exceptional and ongoing arts experiences. The School Series offers area schools the opportunity to reserve seats for theatrical performances scheduled in the Fine Arts Center throughout the year. All shows last approximately one hour. The Adventures of Tortoise and Hare: The Next Gen Friday, September 22, 2023 10:00 am Lightwire Theater brings this classic tale into a brilliant new light with dazzling visuals, poignant storytelling, and the creative use of music in an unforgettable theatrical experience featuring the cutting-edge blend of puppetry, technology and dance. The Adventures of Tortoise and Hare: The Next Generation begins with Aesop's classic fable, but continues the story which finds them 10 years down the road with children of their own exploring modern day distractions. |
Rosie Revere, Engineer & Friends Monday, April 1, 2024 10:00 am This STEM-fueled musical is based on the books Rosie Revere, Engineer; Iggy Peck, Architect; and Ada Twist Scientist by Andrea Beaty, which spotlight the STEM curriculum (focusing on science, technology, engineering and math). Ms. Greer's classroom includes three inquisitive out-of-the-box thinkers. Rosie Revere has big dreams, Iggy Peck has a relentless passion for architecture, and Ada Twist's curiosity can drive her teacher crazy. On a field trip gone awry, they are faced with the ultimate test of their problem-solving skills that can only be conquered with teamwork. |
