Letter from the Vice President for Student
Affairs:
The Department of Student Affairs supports East Arkansas Community College’s Academic Mission and provides students with opportunities to participate in high quality co-curricula activities. Departments within Student Affairs include: Counseling, Career Services, Job Placement, Veterans Affairs, Disability Services, Student Recruitment, Student Activities, Admissions and Records, Registration, Academic Advising, Student Support Services, Judicial Affairs and Financial Aid. The philosophy of educating the whole person is the hallmark of student services. We believe that experience is more than a learning community where students exchange tuition for an education. We expect students to actively engage in student government, intramurals, EACC Ambassadors, volunteer opportunities, campus activities, clubs and organizations. These experiences help instill a desire for learning that continues throughout life. The Student Affairs Staff takes prides in being caring and compassionate. I am proud to lead a department of professional staff who are dedicated to our students and passionate about their work as Student Affairs Practitioners. We are always willing to listen to students’ comments and are eager to help them find their niche. Sincerely, |
