Student Support Services Program

Student Support Services is a program for students with academic needs who have the potential to successfully complete an educational program at EACC. The goal of the Student Support Services program is to provide supportive services to edgible students in order to increase their retention and graduation rates, to facilitate their transfer from a two-year college to a four-year college, and to foster an institutional climate supportive of the success of low-income and first-generation college students and students with disabilities. Students must meet certain federal guidelines to be accepted into this program.

The following services are provided

  • Mentoring from an SSS learning specialist throughout your
    academic school career.
  • Tutoring which includes regular assigned tutoring and drop-in
    tutoring by trained tutors.
  • Workshops such as Math Anxiety, Test Taking, Note Taking,
    Time Management, Self-Esteem, and Dynamic Skills.
  • Transfer assistance which includes workshops, campus visits,
    requests for information, and assistance with financial aid
    paperwork.
