The third annual EACC Awards Ceremony was held in the Lecture Hall on Friday, April 18th. Representatives from all programs and departments presented awards in academic and activity categories. EACC President, Dr. Coy Grace welcomed the attendees and Dr. Jeff Watson, Vice President for Academic Affairs introduced the departmental representatives who presented the awards.
  
The Spirit of EACC Award was presented to EACC student, Lydia Pendleton. The award is a cash award given at commencement each year to the student who best exemplifies the spirit of EACC through academic achievement, involvement in college activities, and use of education for their personal advancement. The award is funded from the income earned from an endowment established in honor of Rachel Bradham and Thomas M. Spencer.
  
The EACC academic departments presented awards for outstanding academic achievement. Recipients were: Edward Gregory-Business/Technology Department, Merideth L. Johnson-Social Science, Erin M. Hess– Social Science/Criminal Justice, William Tim Webster-Humanities, Sharon Washington-Williams-Allied Health Nursing, and Brian Kittler-Math/Science.

Activity Awards were presented to two students who have exhibited outstanding achievements in leadership and volunteerism. The recipients were Kiz-sha Beverly Hughes and Jason Ring.
  
 EACC Board of Trustees Chair, Ann Hudson, presented nine members of the faculty and staff with service pins for 10, 20 and 25 years of service to the College.
