Information Literacy/Library Training
Information is the currency of democracy.
— Thomas Jefferson (1743-1826)
EACC Faculty and Staff can schedule either of two information literacy classes for their students.
First, we offer a Library tour. This provides general information of the Library and how to use the Library's basic services. This tour takes approximately twenty minutes.
Secondly, we offer a one time class that can meet either in the Library or in the regular classroom. This training takes about forty-five minutes and covers searching the online catalog and online databases to find sources for class assignments. Students learn basic research skills and how to evaluate sources.
Both of these offerings can be tailored for specific class coursework. To schedule one of these for your students, contact Paige Laws.
