Project Coordinator / Advisement Lead
East Arkansas Community College is seeking a full-time Project Coordinator / Advisement Lead who will be responsible for the overall coordination of the college’s participation in the PACE grant program, a funded project from the U.S. Department of Labor. The Coordinator will facilitate the planning, implementation, accountability, and continuous improvement activities required of the college to participate in the grant and facilitate the redesign of student advising, tracking, and job placement systems associated with the grant.
More specifically, the Project Coordinator / Advisement Lead will be responsible for:
- helping establish a timeline and key progress milestones for successfully implementing the college’s participation in the grant;
- helping organize and coordinate institution-based teams of faculty and staff to redesign programs, course curricula, and student services, and hold teams accountable for meeting key progress milestones and grant deliverables;
- helping ensure employer engagement in program and curriculum redesign processes;
- coordinating all grant related reporting;
- helping ensure all grant related expenses are in accordance with approved budget and grant deliverables;
- coordinating the college’s participation in all state-wide technical assistance and regional coaching trainings;
- serving on the PACE grant Steering Committee, which will serve to advise the overall grant management team, and attending committee meetings;
- coordinating the identification and incorporation of technology into redesigned systems to support student interest/aptitude assessments, CTE program course maps and completion plans, systematic degree and progress audits, early alert systems, and continuous tracking of student activities and progress and ongoing communication with students;
- coordinating the integration of prior learning assessment into redesigned advising systems;
- coordinating the development and launch of a Virtual Career Center to enhance student job placement support;
- other duties as assigned.
Education/experience requirements: Master’s degree with 3 - 5 years related experience. A Bachelor’s degree with prior successful project/grant management experience may be considered.
Required skills and abilities: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (PowerPoint,
Word, Excel); strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills; demonstrated ability to work in teams.
