Forrest City-East Arkansas Community College has announced the upcoming ‘Season IV’ of events to be held in the EACC Fine Arts Center. Season ticket packages are now available for purchase at www.eacc.edu.

Sanctus Real and Francesca Battistelli
Sunday, September 25, 2013 – 6:30 pm
GRAMMY® nominated, Dove Award winning Sanctus Real has received critical acclaim as a Christian rock and alternative CCM band over their 16-year career. The success of their albums landed Sanctus Real eight No. 1 singles and seven Top 5 radio singles. To date, the band’s total digital track sales exceed one million. The band was named R&R magazine’s most played CHR radio Christian artist of 2006 and Billboard’s No. 4 most played Christian band of 2010.
GRAMMY®-nominated and Dove Award winning Francesca Battistelli’s sophomore album, Hundred More Years, debuted at No. 1 on the Christian Album Chart and No. 16 on Billboard’s Top 200. Hundred More Years released to rave reviews and is the follow-up to her debut My Paper Heart, which delivered the smash No. 1 single “Free To Be Me” and hit singles “It’s Your Life,” “I’m Letting Go” and “Beautiful, Beautiful.” To date, Battistelli has earned a GRAMMY nomination, six Dove Awards, and 18 Dove Award nominations. An Evening with Bill Cosby

Over the past century, few performers have achieved the legendary status of William H. Cosby, Jr. His successes span five decades and virtually all media. In the 1960s, his stand-up act was a coast-to-coast sensation, spawning a string of hilarious, best-selling comedy albums, which went on to garner eight Gold records, five Platinum records, and five Grammy Awards. His role on TV’s I Spy made him the first African-American to co-star in a dramatic series, breaking television’s racial barrier and winning three Emmy Awards. In the 1980s, he again rocked the television world with The Cosby Show, a hugely successful series that single-handedly revived the family sitcom and NBC ratings. With hit movies like Uptown Saturday Night and best-selling books like Fatherhood, Bill Cosby is quite simply a national treasure with the unique ability to touch people’s hearts.

Hypnotic Brass Ensemble

A Chicago-based brass ensemble consisting of 8 sons of legendary jazz trumpeter Phil Cohran, Hypnotic is renowned for their ability to capture an audience with only horns and a drum set. Their musical style is a combination of many different musical genres, ranging from hip-hop to jazz to funk and rock. Collaborations include performances with Mos Def, Aquilla Sadalla, Phil Cohran, The Recipe, Nomadic Massive, Tony Allen, Wu Tang Clan, De La Soul, Prince, Femi Kuti, Gorillaz, and B52's. They have recorded with names ranging from Erykah Badu to Ghostface Killah of the Wu Tang Clan to Maxwell and many more. Their hit song "War" was featured in the box office smash The Hunger Games.
Jeff Bowling Quartet – Black Box Theater

The Jeff Bowling Quartet boasts a wide range of influences and performance histories, appearing with Dizzy Gillespie, Herb Ellis, Pete Fountain, Terry Holmes, Louie Bellson, Pat Metheney, Steve Reid and Bamboo Forest, and Bobby Vann and the Rockets of Rhythm. The group specializes in modern hard-driving swing and performs original compositions, model expressions and the avant-garde drawing from Ellington, Coltrane and Lennon/McCartney.
Single tickets to all Spotlight Series events are $35, Family Series events are $12. Special event ticket prices vary-see online listings.
