Forrest City-East Arkansas Community College has announced Le’Aysha Pearson of Wynne as a recipient of the Fall Semester 2012 Circle N Market Concurrent Enrollment Scholarship (known formerly as the Nimocks Oil Company Scholarship). Pearson will be a sophomore at Wynne High School.
Mallory Nimocks, a 1977 graduate of Forrest City High School, and Carla Morehead Nimocks a 1979 graduate of Grosse Pointe North High School, Michigan in conjunction with Nimocks Oil Company, offer The Circle N Market Concurrent Enrollment Scholarship to area high school students who attend Forrest City High School, Marianna High School, Brinkley High School, Wynne High School, Palestine/Wheatley High School, Cross County High School and Lee Academy.
The scholarship is designed to offer high school students an opportunity to earn credit towards their high school graduation while earning college credit through the Concurrent Enrollment program at EACC.
“I am so blessed and thankful to have been chosen as a worthy recipient of this scholarship,” said Pearson. “It is not easy taking college courses at such a young age, and this scholarship is a tremendous help.”
Applications and additional information about the Circle N Market Concurrent Enrollment Scholarship and the Concurrent Enrollment Program is available in the EACC Financial Aid Department in the Hodges Student Services Complex or the EACC Development Office located in the EACC Fine Arts Center or at 870-633-4480 ext 352.
