East Arkansas Community College in Forrest City will present a Male Summit hosted by the EACC Male Minority Assistance Program (MMAP) in the EACC Lecture Hall on Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at 6:30 p.m.
Topics for discussion will include: employment, education, crime and fatherhood. Guest panelists for the evening will be: Terry Rogers, Forrest City School Board Member; Cecil Twillie, retired educator/principal, and member of Forrest City’s City Council; E.P. Reynolds, Forrest City Chief of Police; and Senator Jack Crumbley of District 16. All males aged 14 and above are encouraged to attend the event. There is no charge for admission
The (MMAP) program is designed to assist in the retention of minority males on EACC’s Campus by educating and equipping young men with the skills necessary to become responsible, contributing members of society through mentoring, tutoring, self-help seminars, cultural enrichment activities and leadership training.
This event is also an outreach event for East Arkansas Community College which serves to enhance the quality of life for everyone within the community by providing opportunities for educational excellence, economic stimulation, and cultural enrichment.
