EACC Presents: Around the World in 80 Days!

East Arkansas Community College will present the imaginative play-Around the World in 80 Days! by Mark Brown.Adapted from the classic Jules Verne novel,the comedy/adventure is an unbelievably creative and hilarious journey featuring stampeding elephants, raging typhoons and runaway trains!

This is the original ‘Amazing Race!’ Join fearless adventurer, Phileas Fogg and his faithful servant as they race to beat the clock. Fogg has agreed to an outrageous wager that puts his fortune and his life at risk. With his resourceful sidekick, Passepartout, Fogg sets out to circle the globe in an unheard-of 80 days. His every step is dogged by a detective who thinks he’s a robber on the run.

Under the direction of Tammy Freligh, EACC Humanities faculty member, danger, romance and comic surprises abound in this whirlwind of a show produced by the EACC Drama Department.

Around the World in 80 Days will be presented on Saturday, March 20th at 7:00 p.m. and Sunday, March 21 at 2:00 p.m. in the EACC Lecture Hall.

The public is cordially invited to attend. Tickets at the door are $5, EACC students admitted free with Student ID.
